The drive to Newport Beach was easy, the sun was up, the traffic was light, and the temperature was just right. Arrived at the fun zone parking lot to Hind I was the only Healey on hand.

Shortly after, John and Alice arrived in the Primrose 100-6.

John had only had his driving privileges restored for about 13 days, so it was good to see him behind the wheel. When no one else showed in the next Hive minutes we decided to head to the donut shop for coffee and breakfast.

Returning to the parking lot we saw that an MG TD had joined us and then a bright red dune buggy screeched into the lot with Tom and Paige Rubinate inside.

Tom had a new toy which he wanted to show off. This led to discussions about the changes Tom had in mind and suggestions from the crowd on what he should do.

By now it was time to head up to the Legacy complex for the “American Car” cars and coffee meet. When we arrived, there was only a late model Spridget on hand.

The car belonged to new member Doug Kott, who I met for the Hirst time. The lot was not overly full but there were some really nice examples of American automotive excellence. After wandering up and down the parking lot checking out the cars it was time to hit the road.
