From the Vice President

Well, another new year of Healeying is upon us and we are still under “double secret probation”.

But we do have a busy schedule for early 2021.

Besides our standard monthly events we will have Club events to get us an early start on January 1st with the Tour d’ Orange. Then the Legacy Car Show in Tustin on January 10th, which has been designated as British Car day.

It looks like we will only have one event in February with the San Juan Capistrano show being moved to May. We have been invited to attend the Hagerty Car Show during the Vintage Car Races at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana on the 6th. This is a great event where you can watch the practice and qualifying sessions on Saturday and then at lunch time be able to drive your car on the track for a few laps at a reasonably fast speed. Last year we were able to get 7-8 laps in!  In March we may have the ever-popular British Invasion at the Dana Point Festival of Whales and in April it’ll be Queens English at Woodley Park and possibly the rescheduled Santa Paula event at the Classic Car Storage. Then in May the rescheduled San Juan Capistrano show on the 1st and then we’re on to the Healey Conclave at Big Bear.

Whew! That is a lot of events, and not to mention a possible Tech Session if the restrictions are lifted. As a reminder I am still looking into adding some new and interesting events this year and any recommendations are more than welcome.

See you at the events
