Petersen Museum Cruise In - 12/15

 | Published on 12/15/2019

The Breakfast Cruise In was scheduled mid- month due to the holidays. So, as I headed down to Museum Row, I wondered how many members would be in attendance, especially since the Golden Cove event was also on the calendar for today. When I pulled onto the third-floor parking area I shouldn't have been surprised to see Dex Kaytis with his primrose Bugeye. I parked next to him and we greeted each other before heading off for coffee.

The turnout was a little light, the weather and holiday season probably contributed to that. All the usual suspects were on hand; from the mid-century American, to the European, to the mundane. Of interest though was a 1955 Chrysler Imperial. Looking at the car makes "travelling in style" make sense. Stylish was also the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione parked next to my humble Healey. And then there was the Morris Oxford Saloon, a 1962 edition that had been purchased new in Toronto by his uncle said the driver. It's now his family car after pulling it out of his uncle's garage and spending a year sprucing it up.

Dexter decided to leave early so he could run down to Golden Cove and I spent a few more minutes talking to people about my car and then I headed home myself.
