With the weather Finally improving, nine Healey’s went on the Cirst local club member Spring Drive to Ojai and Ventura.
A smaller group started the day at the Magpie Restaurant in La Canada for breakfast and general chatter. Promptly at 9:30 AM, for a 9:00 AM scheduled departure, the group of six cars headed to Moorpark to meet up with Greg Aden, Dex Kaytis, and Phil Caliva. From Moorpark we headed to Santa Paula via CA 23 through picturesque orchards and all manner of flowers in bloom. Then it was on to Ojai via CA 150 and a brief 45-minute stop to check out the town on a quiet weekday.
Next we headed for Ventura Harbor by way of CA 150, back roads and onto CA 33 which lead us to the Ventura Pier and Beach House Restaurant. With a 100 miles of country road driving behind us the crew sat down to a relaxing beverage and lunch.
Wrapping up lunch at the beach each of us then headed back home with memories of a great drive on roads right in our backyard.
