Nashville British Car Show

Attended my first car show today after moving here to Nashville.  The show was put on by the Nashville British car club.

Approximately 75 cars showed up.  The weather here has been hot; in the 90’s for the last three weeks, today mid-sixties and overcast.  The drive from my house to the show was 40 minutes, all on the interstate, rough on the car at 70 mph.  I met some nice people and received a lot of comments on the Healey.

I did see some different cars: a Daimler, a Cobra, a ‘25 Rolls-Royce and a small Austin passenger saloon.  I guess I'll join their club.

They say they get out and drive the back roads around Nashville and I may join in on some of those drives.  I heard there is a big Healey show once a year, in June, over in little Switzerland, North Carolina.  200 or so Healeys.  It's a five hour drive for me, so I don't think I will see it.

Well that's all for now, y’all.

Eds.  note - Dick was a long-time member of the Southern California club.  His car is famous for having graced the cover of Moss Motors' catalog a number of times.
