If you were interested in buying a Healey at auction last year it appears you needed to either be in Monterey or at the Labor Day Fall Auction in Auburn, Indiana. There were a total of 12 Big Healey’s at the various auctions during the Monterey Week and 1 Sprite and 15 Big Healey’s at the Auburn Fall Auction; it would have been interesting to watch them all go across the block. I will try to summarize the results in next month’s newsletter.
We had a light showing of club members (10) and cars at the recent Tech Session at Jim Liberty’s shop in Costa Mesa. Those who attended were treated to great sandwiches, useful information and a look at some fantastic cars.
Due to the Oregon Rendezvous the September Club event will be the Dana Point Lantern District show on September 23rd which should have some ocean breezes to keep everyone cool. Otherwise, l am looking forward to seeing everyone at Healey Week in October.
