Angeles Crest Breakfast Run 11/11

Saturday November 11th! This day is Veterans Day, however it has its roots in the First World War as Armistice Day. On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the Great War ended in Europe. This day seven Healeys and a Honda made their way up the Angeles Crest to Newcomb’s Ranch for Breakfast.

This was a stellar day to take the Healeys out for a run, with cool temperatures, sunny weather and everyone anxious to leave the UA Theater and start up the Angeles Crest Highway. Steve Gerow was marking his first trip with the group with his newly rebuilt engine and this drive offered the chance to see what the new engine could do on the road. The rest of us were content with the morning drive in our machines. We stopped along the way for a group photo before arriving at Newcomb’s. A leisurely breakfast and plenty of coffee, along with slow service all added to a very relaxing time.

Before long we were on our way back down the Angeles Crest and onto our planned Saturday morning activities.

Attendees-Peter and Alexandra Roses, John and Darrell Hedblum, Jeff Boysen, Dennis Williams, Steve Gerow, Paul Martin, Lou Fisher and Tim McNiff.
