Greetings Gang, where do I begin. We had a great event.
The weather has improved. Still cold in the morning but getting nicer a little later.
An absolutely fabulous day to take out the classic. We had a superb turn-out for our monthly gathering at Farmer Boys in Riverside. There were 20 in our group of Inland Empire Car Guys & Gals this time.
One of our largest groups if not the largest.
Tony Platt, who we hadn't seen for a while, showed up in his Austin Healey BT7 to show off his newly installed Moss Motors alternator conversion. The Lucas alternator is a great Nit and keeps it English. Makes so much sense. New Moss "Dummy" regulator is actually a buss bar now and has a 50-amp fuse inside to add protection. I think he will be driving it more now. Nice job Tony. One of my Healeys might be next for this upgrade.
Jim Stewart, a longtime friend of mine and a multi-Mini owner, joined us for the first time and made a new friend of Jim Cregg, who also has Mini's.
It was good to see Kelly and Marion Barton in their MGA. Kelly is still recovering a bit from a fall in his shop but is back on the road, instead of the shop floor. :) Dan Mensinger showed around an unfortunate picture of his damaged Sunbeam Tiger. A low-speed accident by a careless driver who turned into him. Hurts to look at it.
