From the Vice President

What’s up with Blizzards in Southern California!! The March club event is the Dana Point “Festival of Whales” on Sunday, March 5th, and registration is open on the web site, but they are limiting it to 30 cars in total so if interested I recommend you contact Mike Scroggie ASAP to see if there are any cancellations.

In April we will be having two club events: the first is a tour of the Nethercutt Collection on the 15th after the Universal Theatre Cars & Coffee and it appears it will be a very popular event with over 50 members and guests registered already. Then the Queen’s English all-British car show at Woodley Park on the 23rd.

In May we will be having the Scottish Fest British Car show at the Orange County Fairgrounds. If you haven’t been there but enjoy watching Scottish games and drum and pipe bands, I recommend you sign up and maybe even try the Haggis (Not me!!) but the meat pies are delicious. They especially need cars for the Sunday event! On a sad note, member Dexter Kaytis found out that he has both Lung and Pancreatic cancer and is in the VA Hospital for a week or so. It’s an early diagnosis and chances for recovery are good. Let’s all have good thoughts and prayers for him! He does have his phone with him so reach out. On the bright side he just got his Big Healey back after 1-1/2 years in repair and he had a great weekend driving though out the Santa Monica mountains in it before he had to enter the hospital.

Hope to see you at the events!
