Petersen Museum Breakfast Cruise In 6/26

The end of June Breakfast Cruise In was a regular event, no special marque or persona. I arrived at the Museum about 7:45 am and proceeded to the third floor parking area where I found a lot of open spaces. Not sure why the lack of participants, the weather was perfect for a top-down drive. Once I had parked and prepped “Scarlet” for her moment in the sun, I took a stroll through the cars for a quick overview.
At 8am the line opened for coffee and donuts so I grabbed some coffee and a glazed donut and really started seriously checking the other cars. As usual, there were Porsches galore, but there were some very interesting cars like the Lotus Espirit, the late 40’s Cadillac, or the modern Bentley. There was a nice Ford GT parked next to a 2015 Fiat 500 Abarth. The driver of the Abarth fell in love with “Scarlet”. Probably because it was the only Healey on display.
At 9:30 the Museum people announce the winners for this month’s cruise in. Kids Choice was a lavender Porsche imported from Japan, Petersen Perfection went to a 1996 TVR, Peoples Choice was a ‘74 Pantera and Best of Show was awarded to a 1969 Ford Mach 1 Mustang.
Hope to see more of you next month.
