Hello all you Healeyphiles, As you know by now, this is the Healey Week edition of our newsletter. I hope you enjoy the coverage of this terrific event, beginning with my overview article which follows. Now we can all take a deep breath! Running Healey Week once again reminds me of how fortunate we are to have such an extraordinary group of selfless volunteers in our Club. People like Mike Scroggie (Membership, Silent Auction, Sponsors), Anna Johansson (Treasurer, Silent Auction, Regalia Sales), Greg Aden (Activities, Car Show) and Tim McNiff (Editor) who work year-round to keep the Club running smoothly and then pull double duty when Healey Week rolls around.
And when it comes to big events, we can always count on Ed (Car Show, Rocker Cover Racing) and Abbe (Registration and Decorations) Neumeyer, Mike Biss (Scenic Drive, Silent Auction), Peter (Poker Run and Tech Sessions) and Alexandra (Registration and all around Helper) Roses, Lisa Mandell (Ladies Event and Decorations), Terry Cowan (Tech Session and Silent Auction Donations), Kathy Scroggie (Regalia), Dennis Williams (Rocker Cover Racing), Steve Gerow (Photography), Sandy and Ron Davies (Trophies), Cindi Kirby (Registration and Chief Medic) and just general do-anything-anytime volunteers like Tony and Debbie Trentacost, Bob and Shari Bolling and Paul Van Wig. My apologies to anyone I forgot.
I know you will enjoy the coverage of the event in this newsletter. We will have a post on the website shortly and a photo album as well. If you attended, I hope you had a great time. While the stories of the “featured events” follow, for me the “main event” is always seeing and visiting with all you Healeyphiles again.
California Healey week 2023 will be hosted by the Golden Gate Austin Healey Club and the location will likely be in the Gold Country foothills. Stay tuned for more details.
