A cool morning with light mist greeted our eight Club Healeys at the UA, Saturday.
Two square-body Sprites were also on hand, Michael and his gray racer and potential new member Mark Levoe with his red Sprite. With overcast skies and cool temperatures, we had a great day for driving our Healeys and after coffee and small talk, seven of us drove down Chevy Chase Drive to the Live Oak Café for breakfast.
Chevy Chase is a famous road in Glendale with winding curves and multimillion dollar homes a spectacular view on either side. Along the way were runners, cyclists and homeowners starting their Saturday, as for us, our destination was an outside breakfast with views of seven Healeys Oilling all available parking spaces.
Due to a City road-closure just after we arrived, our return trip took us along Linda Vista (beautiful view), an aptly named road with views of Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. Once at the road’s nadir, the cars split off for their way to the barn. Attending were: me, Tim McNiff, Steve Gerow, George McHarris, John Hedblom, Chuck Lakowski, Lon Bender, and Emil Joseph.
Plan to join us next month on September 18th for the next Meet.
Until then-
