With all of the bad news about the pandemic and cancellation of the AHASC Holiday Party our UA Meet had a tremendous turnout of 16 members and 14 European Cars.
Yes, we had a couple of non-Healey cars in attendance: Phil Caliva’s Alfa Romeo 2600 Sprint coupe and Steve Gerow’s ‘74 TR6.
From the UA, 12 of us drove over to Magpie’s restaurant for breakfast. Seating for 12 at Magpie’s is a challenge since they have limited exterior space. After breakfast, our planned drive took us up to Newcomb’s Ranch on nearly deserted roads. The trip up the Angeles Crest Highway included several detours as the State is clearing retention basins and performing post ^ire cleanup in the forest. Nonetheless, six Healey’s, one Alfa, and one TR6 made our way on a truly stunning Fall morning with fabulous forest and city views. We enjoyed a relaxing time at Newcomb’s among the quiet forest and the occasional motorcycle exhaust note.
If this sounds like the kind of morning you long for, join us next month on December 26th at the UA, where you can catch up with your friends and exchange holiday greetings.
Until then, Happy Holidays and be Safe.
