United Artists Theater 10/17

As the heat finally wanes our Healey Members were out in force for this month’s meeting at the UA. With 9 members and 7 cars it was a good showing for these socially restricted times.

With everyone hunkered down, this social event gave us time to catch up, look at the cars and enjoy the cool morning so rare of late. From the South Bay, Chuck Lakowski, Dex Kaytis and Phil Caliva made the long drive, as they usually do, to attend this local meet.

Chuck, Dex and I used the time to coordinate our upcoming 5 Passes Tour organized by David Nock of the Golden Gate Austin Healey Club. The tour starts and ends in Manteca and goes back and forth across the Sierras climbing passes approaching 10,000 feet. We have been in a preparation mode for both cars and people; as the overall trip will approach 500 miles for one weekend and temperature ranges will be from the Mid-Teens to 80 degrees.

Back to the Meet, normally we break up about 8:00 AM and head out for breakfast, however with the great weather our departure was delayed waiting for those last conversation to end. From the UA we were off to breakfast at Magpies for more Healey discussion and social bonding.

If you need to stretch your legs and run that Healey, join us next month, November 21st, at our next UA Meet.

Until then, Attendees: Peter Roses, Chuck Lakowski, Dex Kaytis, Phil Caliva, Jeff Boysen, Jon Doherty, Steve Gerow, Emil Joseph, and Lou Fisher. All with Healeys except Lou and Emil.
