Another strong Healey turnout for the August meeting at the UA in La Canada. Despite the hot temperatures, Dex Kaytis and Phil Caliva drove across half of LA to check in with the UA locals before departing for points South. Dennis Williams, Tim McNiff, John Hedblom and myself were on hand to fill in answering questions from Jack Gies regarding his almost complete Healey restoration. Emil Joseph, sans his Bugeye, was ensconced in his folding chair with donuts and cigar. Another conversation topic was the upcoming Conclave in May of 2021. The registration site is open and once you have registered, reservations can be made at the Big Bear Hotel. As with Deadwood, we have a limited amount of rooms at the primary hotel and all late registrations will be off the primary site. So, as said, it was hot so an early departure to the Wild Oak Café and cool breezes of the higher altitude and Chevy Chase Canyon. There Jon Doherty joined us for breakfast and more Healey talk.
