United Artists Theater - 2/18

For many Healey Owners the big events are the small get togethers with Healey's and friends on a regular basis. Such is the case for our weekly gathering at the UA Theater with the Monthly Meet corralling Healeys from home garages both local and afar. For both weekly and monthly events, the excitement of Saturday morning is the same, with the hope of new Healey arrivals and catching up with friends since the last meeting.

Once assembled and tanked up with Starbucks Dark Roast the dialog starts with member updates on their latest Healey project and at some point, an interruption of “yeah but, let me tell you about my Healey”. So it goes every week and this past UA Meet was no different trying to catch up with all of the attendees.

Attending and interrupting at some point were Jeff Boysen, Steve Gerow, Peter Roses, John Hedblom, Jon Doherty, Lou Fisher (fashionably late) Tim McNiff; and Dennis Williams joining us at Breakfast.

Steve Gerow has his 100-6 in the repair shop fixing a front-end dent and is struggling with the drawn out repair duration. Jon is trying to finalize his lodging options both to and from Rendezvous in May. As for myself, I am part of a Healey contingent shipping our cars to Europe in September to attend the Goodwood Revival and follow-on tour of France, Spain and Italy. And I am finalizing flights and lodging.

Well, each member and car has a story and so does your Healey. Try and join us next month on March 21st for the UA Meet and catch up with your fellow Healey enthusiasts.

Until then- Editor's note: in the group picture Jeff and Steve  aren't going crazy, they're just showing the Austin Healey "gang" sign.
