It appears that May and early June is the time for most of the area’s Beach City shows, with the annual shows in Seal Beach, Hermosa Beach, Santa Barbara and the Huntington Beach Concours all happening. There are large turnouts of club members showing their cars and thousands of spectators enjoying the cars, the great beach weather, and the scenery. See the individual show write ups in this issue.
As a reminder, the first June Club event will be the British Show at the Automobile Driving Museum in El Segundo. We will be meeting behind the Starbucks at the corner of PCH and Mariposa around 9:00 AM and drive-in together.
We have also added another Club event in June, the Highway Earth event on June 24th, which will be held in the Santa Monica mountains above Beverly Hills. They will be picking the best Healey shown to be featured in their magazine.
There is a 150 car limit so sign up before it fills up. Keep your calendars open for the Central Coast British Car Club’s Show at the Channel Island Marina in Oxnard on July 15th where Austin Healey’s will be the Featured Marque.
The European contingent will have left or are leaving for their adventure as we go to press and I personally will be looking forward to their updates and blogs. We are also planning a tech session in Orange County in early August at Jim Liberty’s shop where he has a great looking Bugeye, a California Mille Miglia Morgan, as well as his Porsche’s for us to enjoy.
See you at the events!
