On August 19th, AHA members David Beugen, Dexter Kaytis, Duke Hingley and my self- attended the Annual Main Street Car Show in El Segundo along with 300+ other cars. Dave brought his beautiful One-of-a-kind 1953 Rolls Royce Silver Wraith (Open Sedance de Ville), Dexter his Big Healey, Duke his Bugeye and I had to bring my wife’s 1970 Fiat 500 since both my Bugeye’s were out of commission and my Big Healey was land locked in the shop.
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon with the temperatures in the mid 70’s and a nice ocean breeze and the only other Healey there was a beautiful black 100-4 with a LeMan’s kit, whose owner is thinking about joining the club. We were joined by Corkey and Lupi Holt for lunch and a tour of the cars. As it turned out both Dave and Dexter won Best of Class in their respective divisions and this looks like a great show for more of the club members to attend, as there was a live band and numerous restaurants for everyone to enjoy.
