As always another great turn-out for Healey Saturday at the UA Theater. With 11 members driving two Sprites, five “big” Healeys, and a classic Porsche and BMW the topics of conversation ranged from upcoming events to planning for the Monterey Healey Meet in September.
On hand this week was Jon Doherty, who had recently picked up his Red 100-Six from Russ Thompson. The car runs quiet as a Swiss watch and is the best looking 100-6 thanks to his grandfather Mal Doherty’s attention to detail and knack for adding improvements and bling to the Marque. David and Lisa Thorne, new Healey owners and Club Members, joined us as well, despite the long drive from Agoura Hills and hot weather. The group broke up to view the wide variety of cars, motorcycles and specialty vehicles on hand. Then nine of us continued on to Magpie’s Grill in La Canada for breakfast. Other members on hand were Emil Joseph, Tom Spangler, John Hedblom, Tim McNiff, Dennis Williams, Steve Gerow, Lou Fisher, Jeff Boysen and yours truly.
