We had a very good turnout for the Inland Car Guys April 1st breakfast. We joined up at the Starbucks by the Riverside Municipal Airport and caravanned the short distance to the show without losing anyone. Since we arrived together we were able to park our ten cars side by side in our own row.

Was it was just luck or was it expert planning? Just luck.

We had 14 people in our group. Ron and Sandy Davies, Allan and Tina Perry, Jim Cregg and his granddaughter Sierra Courts, Jimmy Davis, Brad Benson, Randy Clary, Bill Wilkman, Jay Miller, Chuck and Dawn Lakowski and Tony Platt. Tony is the proud new owner of past club President Ron Olufson's 1960 BT7. He's keeping it looking great.

The pancake breakfast was good and the air show was loud and impressive. We attracted a lot of interest with our group of cars and may have some new locals join us for breakfast next month. There were 238 entries for the car show.

Congratulations go to Jay Miller and his outstanding 1967 BJ8.

He won one of only 11 trophies that were awarded out of the 238 entries for "Outstanding Cars" and there was also 1 trophy for "Best of Show", a good format for a show this size. The whole award ceremony was brief.

Next month's breakfast will be on May 6th at 8:00 am at Flo's Farmhouse Café, 5620 Van Buren Blvd, Riverside, CA 92503 (951) 352-2690. It is very close to the Starbuck's where we met this time. We may have a tech session afterwards. I'm not sure yet.

There is another famous Flo's Café at the Chino Airport. I believe this is a second location for them. Join us for breakfast if you can. Bill Wilkman says their biscuits and gravy are superb.

Cheers
