Bucket List Time New Year’s is a traditional time for resolutions. Your personal bucket list should certainly be considered a part of any resolutions made. So let’s resolve to update our personal bucket lists. Below I present some ideas for your consideration.
1st Inaugural LA Classic Car Show and Exhibition – LA Convention Center – January 27-29, 2017 You will find more info on this Club event elsewhere in this edition, but suffice to say that with the support of the Velocity Channel, and with presentations by all its headliners, this “first ever” will be one you want to remember as “I was there”. The Club will have a 20’ x 40’ exhibit where we will showcase our best Healeys for the thousands of visitors expected. If you are interested in displaying your car, contact me. The Club will have a lunch in conjunction with the exhibition at the famous El Cholo Restaurant. Check out the links in the related article and watch for more info.
2017 Austin Healey Northwest Meet – Dalles, Oregon – May 11-17, 2017 If you looking for a Spring getaway, this could be it. Centered in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and hosted by the Austin Healey Club of Oregon, this event offers great drives, some interesting tours and plenty of socializing, all in a very low budget setting….to wit, there is NO registration fee! In fact there are no paid events at all except for the closing night banquet ($36/pp). Three breakfasts and a welcome reception are included. California Dreamin’ – Monterey Intl. Healey Week – September 11-15, 2017 This event, hosted by the Golden Gate Club, looks like it will be the biggest gathering since Tahoe.
