GOT STUFF? If you are like most Healey owners, you are a border-line hoarder. Or maybe worse! It’s just so hard to throw away those used and abused parts, no matter their condition, “you never know”. Fact is that most of us will never use some of the treasures we have stored away, but that does not mean they are worthless, in fact some other Healey owner may be dying to get his hands on some of your junk (no pun intended).
The problem is how does the guy who needs it find the guy who has it? Now there is an answer, The Great British Swap Meet!
Started some years ago by the Classic Jaguar Association, and until now, largely a Jag parts exchange, this semi-annual event is expanding to encompass all British makes. And the meet is moving to a larger location in Lake Forest. Sellers range from professionals with trailers full of all stuff British, to individuals who just pop the boot of their SUV (or Healey). There’s never too much or too little. New parts, used parts, rusty and dusty, anything goes. Garage signs, posters, memorabilia, it’s all welcome.
And the best part is, there is no charge for Buyers or Sellers and no advance sign ups or reservations are required. This year we are putting the word out to all the British Clubs and we hope to have a really big turnout fueled mainly by guys that have just a little too much stuff they would like to clear out. While there will be a few professional sellers, swapping stuff between individuals is the heart of this event.

SPECIAL ADDED BONUS FOR HEALEY CLUB MEMBERS: The event will be held at Steve Kirby’s shop. Two four post drive-on lifts will be available to Members who may wish to get their cars in the air for an inspection or even a quickie oil change…bring your own supplies.
