Left Glendale before 7:00am, under overcast skies, for the short drive over to Eagle Rock for the 18th Annual Cops for Tots Car Show.
Sponsored by the LAPD’s Central Division the proceeds beneJit the Bone Marrow Unit at Children’s Hospital.
The overcast didn’t last long, the sun came out and everyone headed for the trees or a neighboring popup. The over 180 cars on hand represented the full gamut of American car culture which is to be expected at a show sponsored by the LAPD.
But there were a few foreign car on hand; Phil Caliva’s MkI “Nasty Boy” and my MkII BJ7 plus a very nice 1953 MG and a really beautiful 1967 VW Karman Ghia. With live music, Jlyovers by the LAPD helicopters, various food trucks offering ice cream to Argentinian food and all the great cars to look at it was a very nice day indeed.
