This event for car clubs and car lovers has been around for years, from the night cruising along the parade route to the current New Year’s Eve morning cruise down Colorado Blvd. Joining me and my BJ7 were Phil Caliva in his BN7 Nasty Boy, Jeff Boysen and his BN7, George Merino and his buddy Bob Gomez in George’s BJ7, and Mike and Anna Biss in their 100-4.
Car lovers from the greater Los Angeles area gather in a shopping center parking lot in the Hastings Ranch area of east Pasadena to admire each-others cars and swap stories about past New Year’s Eves. Everything from customs, classics, and sports cars to repurposed school buses gather to cruise along Colorado Blvd and honk and wave at the parade spectators who are waiting to claim their viewing spots. A lot of fun, goodwill and honking is heard as hundreds of classic cars cruise up and down the Parade route.
