The summer heat continues, so we need to get our drives done early in the day.
Found the electric fan on my BN-1 had failed (in traffic) so repair is underway. Some good news- John and Alice got their beautiful yellow car back from the body shop. The shop did a great job with the paint and bodywork, so they are back with the C&C get togethers, and in fact were at the Dana Point show on the 23rd. I had the chance to attend the Monterey Motorsport Reunion a couple of weeks back. There were several Healey’s racing there, including a 100-4, a 100-6 and a couple of 3000’s. I had a great time discussing the histories of the cars and other fun Healey topics with several of the owners, drivers and restorers. There was also a 100S on display.
They all did a great job of representing our marquee.
75th Anniversary International Healey Meet- We’re about nine months out from the event and continue to make good progress towards our goal for registrations. Steve Kirby, David Nock and Mark Lewis continue to coordinate the special cars, guest speakers and VIPs to make sure it will be a great event. Just to remind you: the meet is in Lake Tahoe June 6th-12th, 2027.
As I mentioned last month, the Golden Gate club continues to be outpacing our club in registrations, so we need to step up our game. I would encourage you to look at all the planned activities ( https://www.healey75.com) and consider joining in the festivities. It promises to be a great time with lots of great cars, exhibits, drives, and social events planned to keep everyone busy. The pre-and-post event planning is continuing as well. I will share more as the information becomes available. Also, you may want to check out the regalia. Some of the early orders have already been delivered. As always, Steve has pulled together a great set of goodies for the event.
Other Great Healey Gatherings- As I mentioned last month, you may want to consider joining the “Conclave 50” being sponsored by the Mid-West Austin Healey Club being held in Galena, IL, Sept 13th-18th. It offers some beautiful countryside to drive through along with all the normal Healey gathering activities. You may also want to consider joining in on the “SE Classic XXXIX” being held in Dahlonega, GA on September 17th- 20th. It also offers some stunning drives and adventures as well. Closer to home, our own Peter Roses and Jeff Boysen continue the planning for the Peaks to Plateaus tour September 24th- October 9th. The plan is to do some leaf peeping starting in Denver and working their way through some amazing areas in the Rockies, down trough Monument Valley, Antelope Canyon and ultimately ending up in Sedona, AZ. We’ll keep you up to date with lots of details as the folks stop along the way and share lots of pictures.

2026 Holiday Party- Save the Date. Anna Johansson and George Merino have an agreement with the Shoreline Yacht Club to again to host our annual Holiday party. It is planned for Sunday December 13th, so pencil it in. Sign-ups should be open in about a month. We will share more information as we get closer.
Western Regional Tech Sessions- Steve Kirby is back from Italy, so he again hosted the Western regional tech session. As always, it was rich in information where members asked questions and several tech experts discussed the technical issues and made recommendations/ presented potential solutions.
