Greetings Group, "June Gloom" was the morning theme for our drive to Riverside. Cool but definitely not clear. We jumped in our '64 AH BJ8.
Tried and true. Owned since 1969. It was Sandy's daily driver back then.
When we arrived there was already a lineup of three Austin Healeys, so we made it four. The row continued to Gill in and somehow they were all British cars. MGs, Triumphs, Jaguars, a Jensen and a very stealthy Mini Cooper.
The new Mini marque may be owned by BMW, but I still consider them British.
Last month the "Stands out from the Pack" car was Tom Yaeger's 1929 Armstrong Siddeley. This time I think all would agree it was Frank Moses's 2009 Ferrari F-430. It features a 483hp V8. A real eye catcher parked at Farmer Boys. Thank you Frank, for sharing it with us.
John Meza's Austin Healey is still in the resto shop. So, he decided to ride his bike.
It took him an hour and a quarter to ride from Redlands to Riverside on his great looking 2024 Trek Domane. That's not bad since I believe he has less than one horsepower.
We had another great event. Join us next time on Saturday July 5th if you can. We meet at Farmer Boys in Riverside on Alessandro Blvd. at 8 am. Who knows what will show up or what they will show up on.
Cheers
