Laguna Beach Rotary Car Show 10/6

We had six big Healeys and two additional members driving their “other” cars. The 1975 rubber-bumper MGB belongs to a new member Nancy Anderson. Denis Watson, new member from last year had the blue hard top Ford convertible. He just got his red over black BJ7 that he’s having work done on.

The Big Healeys were all settled in by 7:30 in our new location. They were; Steve Macintosh with his red 3000, he won one of the Healey categories, along with Rick Shoemaker with his Red 59 BN6 and Chris Savage with his beautiful 1963 Modified Dark Hunter Green with black polished trim BJ8.

Tony Trentacost was in his red and white BJ8 joining John Hummer in his Primrose 100-6, and finally Steve Heck’s white Healey completed the line up.

They had a German food truck and a German Oompa Band to enhance the Oktoberfest theme.

I must note that the new members decided to join our club even though they might not have had a Healey at the time but had a cousin car (MGB) or were in the process of getting a Healey, because of the great, warm people that make up the Southern California Austin Healey Association.
