2024 Healey Week Car Show 5/15

This year’s car show was held in a small parking lot in Morro Bay on Wednesday morning. The other lots in town were being utilized by the Triathlon that was to be held the following weekend. The location turned out to be great, it was one block up from the Embarcadero and close to the restaurants and stores and included a great view of the waterfront and the Morro Big Rock.
The main challenge was getting 65 cars into the parking lot, which was designed for a maximum of 40 cars. With the help of the parking crew, we were able to accomplish it with room for a few additional cars if needed. Special thanks to Corkey Holt, Bob Bolling and Roger Hamel (AHCA President) and Keith McIver (a local new Healey project owner) and with their expertise we were able to get all the cars in place and in proper order for the judging.
I would like to also thank all the car owners for their patience and cooperation in letting us park their cars closer together than usual.
At 2:00 sharp everyone packed up and proceeded on the 15- mile drive back to the Hotel for the Tech Session and the Ladies social.
The awards for the 10 classes and Best In Show were presented during the Thursday Night Banquet. The highlight being Mike & Kathy Scroggie being awarded the Best of Show award for a beautifully ModiKied 1954 100, previously owned by Ken Derringer.
