In attendance for this month’s UA Meet were Tim McNiff, Steve Gerow, Peter Roses, Phil Caliva, Lou Fisher, Vito Triglia, John Hedblom, Emil Joseph and George Moreno, who joined us for breakfast. For the cars, we had Iive Healeys, an MGB and two BJ9’s. Most were on hand for Healey talk, breakfast and third brake light aesthetic voting.
As you might recall from last month’s UA write up, Steve Gerow and Peter Roses displayed two different approaches to the third brake light installation. Steve chose an approximately 10” LED lamp attached to metal bracket, body color painted and magnetically secured to the trunk lid. Peter chose an off the shelf LED lamp with black feet and again attached to the trunk using two magnets. Peter’s approach did not paint the LED lamp bracket.
Drum roll-Yes Steve’s painted approach was deemed better almost unanimously by the crowd. Sadly, Peter claimed election ballot tampering by non- Healey members and refused to acknowledge the results.
Please join us next month on April 20th to catch up with our members and perhaps join us for breakfast.
Until then-
